FAQs

Q?

May I visit anytime?

A.

Here at God’s Kids Preschool we have an open door policy. Parents may visit their children in our facilities any time they wish. We do ask parents who plan to visit their children frequently to follow the classroom routine, to avoid disturbing classroom schedules and activities. We appreciate parents’ valuable input on the care of their children, and encourage parent participation. Parents can visit as much or as little as their schedules (and children) will allow.

Q?

What is your discipline policy?

A.

Teachers work toward promoting positive self-esteem, self-discipline, and acceptable behavior. Children are redirected to other activities, encouraged to use words, and given choices. If very difficult behavior occurs where the child does not respond to the normal ways of gaining cooperation, a brief supervised separation from the group may be used either in the classroom or in the Director’s office.

Q?

My child is not a napper?

A.

Working at a child development center we are very aware that all children are different and not all of them take naps. We do encourage children to lie down and rest their body and after doing it for an extended period of time it becomes a routine that they look forward to. We believe that with all the learning and fun children need a down time to unwind and rejuvenate.

Q?

Do you offer any extra programs?

A.

During our school week of Tuesday – Friday we offer Chapel on Tuesday mornings at 9:30. Chapel is a time where we teach the children about the Bible and also teach them how we behave at church. On Thursday we have music class where we teach the children a few key points about music and the fun of singing and instruments!

Q?

What makes your school different?

A.

Here at God’s Kids Preschool we want to help  children grow and develop intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Having smaller size classrooms helps us give the child that one on one time they sometimes need. Our smaller size classrooms help us get to know the children and families in more of a personal level teachers and parents genuinely become a team! We love to let the children learn through play but also offer excellent curriculum. We truly believe there’s a balance to our profession, remembering that preschool is a part of a child’s life to prepare them for their long educational journey. We love to offer a fun yet educational place for the children to look forward to explore.
